Weekend Grass With Whipped Cream On The Side

Happy Friday!

Penny is doing much better today. She is still a bit wobbly.
This is most likely due to the medication she is on.
Her doctor called back with the results of her
blood tests, and there was something that
raised a big red flag.

Penny's triglycerides are over 2,000! Holy soy balls!
200 is considered high. The doctor will be speaking with
a neurologist to see if there could be a connection between
the seizures and triglycerides. One thing is certain,
her diet and exercise is going to have to change
dramatically. We're going to have another
appointment soon to speak about what to
do next, so stay tuned.

On another note, something happened this morning to brighten
Penny's day. We got grass! Finally!! Penny wasn't
happy having to do her business on the
classified ads. It's not natural.

Penny is going to be very busy this weekend. She has a full
schedule of hanging out on her grass, resting,
listening to cartoons and eating
whipped cream.

"I am so excited to have grass! Let's light our
newspaper classified ads on fire, and BBQ some soy Kabobs!
Bring me a really delicious non-alcoholic margarita
while you are at it too. No salt!"

I might do something a little different from what Penny
plans to do this weekend. If my neighbors saw me imitating my
pugs actions, they would probably call the cops. No one likes to
have any real fun in this town! I would be pretty entertained
if I went out on my balcony to see someone nude,
on the grass, just trying to get their tan on.
It's only disturbing when that person is
chalk white nude, with a bowl of cool
whip between their legs.

We hope you have a great weekend!

Hi Dana & Penny! I'm so glad to hear that Penny is doing better. Do the doctors think whipped creme has anything to do with Penny's elevated triglycerides?

I'm sure Penny will be back to her sexy self in no time. And now that she has grass to poop on, life is almost back to normal.

Hi Dana and Penny,
So happy to know you are feeling better. I hope the vet gets to the bottom of what could be causing such an extreme elevation in triglycerides. And grass, lovely green grass. Enjoy, and luxuriate like a sexy pug should!

So glad to hear Ms. Penny is doing better! And yay for grass returning to do her business.

Betty used to be wobbly from her meds. The medical term is called 'Ataxia'. It's associated with anti-seizure medication. Hopefully you can work diligently with your vet to get her triglycerides down (if that's what contributed to her seizures) to get her off the meds.

When we researched canine seizure disorders, a build up of fatty acids in the blood or triglycerides was a potential trigger for causing a dog to have a seizure. So the good news is if you can get Penny's triglycerides down to a normal level, then she probably won't have anymore seizures. Oh snap! Don't tell Penny she won't get to have her whipped cream anymore. Maybe she'd settle for an extra carrot or two?

Much love!!

Yay Penny! We are so glad you are feeling better and that your vet thinks he knows why you were feeling like poop. Getting grass couldn't come at a better time! Laugh hard, poop harder! Love, Arlo
