Goodbye My Beefy Sexy Poopie

Hi everyone.

It is with great sadness that I tell you Penny went to the
Rainbow Bridge today. I had to make the heartbreaking decision,
after her rapid decline. One week after her seizure, Penny lost
her hearing, her mobility, and her organs began to fail.
Towards the end, she did not recognize much.
It was no way to live. She was gone.

The neurologist, and her regular doctor suspect she had a
brain tumor. We tried everything we possibly could
to save her. It was her time to go.

It was the hardest decision I have ever had to make,
but I know it was the right one. I asked her if she was
ready to go, and with her eyes, she told me yes.

As you can imagine, I am heartbroken. She was my sexy furry
child. Please understand my blogging absence, as it may be
a while. I need time to begin to grieve the loss of my baby.

She was only five and a half, but she gave me more love
and happiness than I could have ever imagined.

Please hold your pugs close today as you think of Penny,
and know that she is no longer in pain. Also take this time
to think of Elvis, Mindy Ruzumna's sexy man pug who crossed the
Rainbow Bridge today too. I'm sure Penny is with Elvis,
and all the other pets who have crossed,
and is converting them into whipped
cream addicts.

Penny never met any of you pug nose to face, but she
loved you all, and appreciated your friendship.

Penny is probably with my grandma, sitting on her lap,
binge eating on whipped cream. I will miss her
dearly, and always remember the sexy
times we shared.

Oh Dana, I am stunned and heartbroken. I can't stop the tears.

I know you made the right decision on Penny's behalf. You spent her entire life being her best friend and advocate, and you honored that role up until the very end.

Wish I could hug you.

We are so sorry for your loss. The choice you made was the right one and was also sooooooo hard. Penny had a wonderful life with you and she touched so many hearts through your blog. We are sending you lots of puggy snorkles, snuggles and love. Tonight we will toast Penny's short but wonderful life with whipped cream. She truly exemplified that it is not how long we walk this earth, but how we live while we are here. Penny lived life with gusto, joy and beefy sexiness. She was a joy and a treasure and her memory will live on in all our hearts. Thank you for sharing her with us.

If there is anything we can do, please let us know.

we have never met, but we wanted to come by to say we are so sorry. We had to make that difficult decision just last Monday(4/12) Our Shamus would have been 9 months old on the 17th. We feel your pain. I hope they are having a great time playing with other dogs, with their hooman gramms and grampas. Getting good belly rubs and ear scritches.
It is so very hard to do what we know must be done for our wonderful friends, confidants, well they are just everything, aren't they.
So sorry. Run free Penny. Tell Shamus to share the tennis balls!

Dana-we too are heartbroken to hear that Penny had to leave you today. We hope you know what a loving home and life (seriously, what other pug, or child for that matter gets drive-thru Starbucks whipped cream??) she had with you, and can gain some comfort in that, and your memories of her sexy self!
SHe has inspired us to find our sexy selves too.
Now she can have all the whippy cream she wants!

Dear Dana
Our hearts are breaking with yours over this sadness. We never wanted to ever hear this.
Your gift to Penny at this time was so unselfish. You thought of her and not yourself. You did what she would have wanted you to do.
Unselfish love you have.
Now your heart is breaking- and we are sad with you. We all come together with paws and arms stretched out for you.
I wish there was something I could do for you. If there is,,, please ask me. I am here for you even though I never met you and Penny.
Penny made us smile every time we read her little blog.
She touched our lives with her courage.
She had so much love that came from you- that she shared with us.
We will be here waiting for you.
I am so sorry

So sorry to hear of Penny's passing. May you find some comfort in knowing that Penny is undoubtedly feeling whole and healthy and licking whipped cream from her little pug nose - for sure stretched out in bright green, squishy soft grass and feeling the sun's gentle rays warming her sexy, beefy pug self while she waits to see you again.

She was and will always be loved by so many... Thank you for always sharing her smiles with us.

Dana, I am just heartbroken for you. Letting a furbaby go to the bridge is so hard. Penny was so lucky to have you for a devoted, loving Mom, as you were lucky to have her sexy, beefyness in you life. I am so so very sorry you've lost your furkid! I will always think of Penny whenever I see whipped cream -- it was so associated with her that it's become inseperable in my mind now. When I saw the titles of some of the blog posts I just knew Penny had gone to the bridge and it made me very sad. Please know that so many people are thinking of you and keeping Penny's memory alive, perhaps by having a little whipped cream on the next drive through visit! *hugs*

Dearest 'Penny's" Mama. There is no love like dog love, or in my case, cat love. My heart goes out to you but you did the right thing and bravely. When it's time to let go, you know. Feel the love from animal lovers like me who know that you can't experience the joy of animal love unless you understand that there's a time to say goodbye.
They know more than we can imagine. I'm sure she will visit you soon in a dream. It happened to me after losing my 15 year old cat 18 months ago. She told me she was well and I actually reached out and felt her. It was amazing. Hugs.

Dana,

There are no words that can be said that will take away your sadness and loss. Penny was a beautiful soul and it is this spirit and soul that remains amongst you even though she is physically gone. She lived the life of luxury, she was treated like a queen. Her short life on this planet was meant to be spent with you. You both gave and received love equally.

Each day that passes will always contain a memory of her beautiful soul. In honour of her life we are dedicating Sunday April 18th to Penny, Sexy Whip Cream Day. Please visit our blog to see.

Here is to you Penny!

We lost a special sweet girl on New Year's day to encephalitis...and reading about Penny's seizures and the tough times with her meds...sounds familiar and so, so hard.

You have devoted yourself during your short time together to making her feel loved and safe...and so she is now...
