Carry Me Please!

Hey everyone!

Penny and I hope you are having a great weekend!
Penny and I went for a few walks before the
rain came out to play.

"This bush smells strange. Who's been man
peeing on my bush??"

"I think there's a sexy dog coming
my way. How is my fur looking?"

As you can see from these photos, sometimes I wonder who
is taking who for a walk. It's clear to me now,
that Penny walks me.

Penny is usually good about walking around our complex
without throwing a tantrum, but this weekend was
different.

It took about 10 minutes to get Penny to walk to the front
door. Then, after I carried her down the stairs, it took
another 10 minutes to get her to move away from the
grass and start the process of a walk.

"I have done my business, now carry me
back to my palace!"

I should have videotaped her stubbornness to show our
vet how hard it can be to get Penny to exercise.
If she's not walking toward whipped cream,
the walks can be extra difficult.
If Penny does not feel like
taking a walk, she does
not walk.

"Stop being so lazy! I don't want to hear
you complain, or say anything about my
beefy pug size."

"Put some human muscle into it!"

If we are in the middle of the street and Penny doesn't
feel like going any further, I have to carry her back home.
I can't really blame her. I have spoiled her for so
long, and called her sexy, that now, she tells
me when we go for walks. And she makes me
carry her.

"Does this angle make my rolls look big?"

Do any of you carry your pugs when they don't
feel like going any further? At least the
humans get a little exercise!

oh penny a true sexy princess you are! Oh and for the record, your fur looked great in the photo and no, you do not have large rolls.

My mum always jokes that she can't possibly lift me without putting out her back. I do weigh in at a whopping 35 lbs so... um... I have no choice but to walk even when I am tired. I am certain if I weighed less though and were smaller in size...... I would be carried all over the place!

Penny
You are so funny and so adorable.
I love it that you throw tantrums and refuse to do stuff.
Why not? You have always been the queen bee.
My moms carry me when I am sleepy.
And sometimes carry me upstairs to bed- but I only weight between 11 and 12 pounds.
You have lots on your mind- since- you are so sexy.
love

We end up carrying Tuni all the time but that's more do to her age and her back legs not working. The little pugger usually rides in a stroller. When its hot out on a walk sometimes Sequoia just moves too slow way too slow after walking for awhile we carry her beefy butt back home too.

And Penny we thinks your fur looks super shiny and your rolls are perfect!

Penny, you are doing all the things a well heeled pug should do. I frequently give my Mom and Dad grief during a walk. I do enjoy getting out and about to see my public, but it has to be on my terms. If I don't like the direction the walk sarts out in,I plunk myself down.I won't budge until we are travelling in the proper direction. And I hate turning around. We must always be going toward the new smells.Old smells are boring. Also,I insist on being carried over puddles. Musn't get my pads wet. So, yes, often I do get carried due to my antics. As it should be. Hope these tips help. Remember, a proper pug is always in charge.

Oh, Penny, you sure do have your mom wrapped around your finger! When I had Rainy, she loved to go for walks...she would go down the stairs very nicely to go for a walk, but when we'd come back, she'd look at the stairs and not want to walk up the stairs, so I ended up carrying her up all the time. Yeah, spoiled princess!

Oh Penny! Good for you for letting the mama know who is BOSS. Sometimes the Foo has a tough time breathing if we gor a really long walk (after 20 mins0. Then the humans carry her a bit till she is breathing better. Hmpf....just cuz she is 10 should not mean she should be spolit!
And, you rolls look fabuoplous, not floppy.

We loves you!
Gen & the Foo

pee-s: thanks for your comment @ our sister! she'll feelin' the love.

hi penny and dana!
i have had found that if i walk emmitt right before he gets his dinner, he walks with purpose all the way around the neighborhood.

a pug on a mission to eat, even if he is 13.5, is a force like no other. :)
