Hi Everyone!
I know it's a little late, but did you have a nice Easter?
Daisy and I spent the Holiday eating, going for walks and well...
yep that's about it. Our weekend wasn't too eventful,
but yesterday sure was, but unfortunately
not in a fun way.
My mom (Daisy's Grandma) and I decided to take Daisy over to
the park, and as were just about to get into our car, my
neighbors new dog who has about 55 pounds on Daisy,
and who was not on a leash, charged us at full
force and attacked Daisy for no reason!
It all happened so fast, and I was able to quickly lift Daisy
up with one arm to get her off the floor and away from the
other dog. The dog continued to try and bite Daisy even
after she was in my arms. Daisy was lucky to escape
with no major injuries and just some small scrapes
around her back legs and a bite that didn't go
very deep. More than anything the situation
just really shook her up. I would have to
say this was the scariest thing to ever
happen to us while living here.
Our neighbors who let the dog out, reacted to this
whole ordeal by scoffing at us, and not even
bothering to ask if Daisy was all right.
This shocked me just as much as
the attack did!
I don't blame the dog for what happened, I can only
imagine the life she had before she came into our
complex. I just hope my neighbors keep her on
her leash, and perhaps seek out some
training for her aggression so this
does not happen again.
"Check out the bite mark near my butt!"
"Not coolsies! I instantly saw my pug life flash
before my eyes. Someone better give me some gourmet
chicken to compensate me for what I just had
to go through!"
Have any of your furry children ever been bit before?
It is not a sexy experience to go through.

You should really report the incident to your complex management. This could be a huge liability to them. This happened to us when we rented a condo on the Jersey Shore. The dog, also a boxer, put Chloe right down on her back and my husband was able to get her away with no incident. A few days later as I left the building to take Marty out, the dog came out of nowhere and attacked us. I literally hung Marty over the railing with my arms so the dog couldn't get him. The people were idiots. I reported them to the rental agent and they were banned from renting there ever again. Dog attacks are crazy scary and I'm glad your both okay!
OMG Dana how scary! I agree, you should definitely report this incident. Someone has to be aware of the aggression problem and liable to ensure that the dog is on a leash at all times. This could happen to you again and Daisy could be hurt very badly. I'm so glad she managed to escape with just a few scratches, but please be careful!
How frightening! I've never been bit but I was chased out of the dog park once by a pack of cocker spaniels. Mum yelled at the owners who quickly leashed them up.
Sabrina's mum:
Dana, you need to report these people, both to your complex management and to animal control. Next time the attacked dog may not be as lucky.
I understand that the dog may not have had a lot (any) training, and that is not the dog's fault, but you and Daisy need to be able to feel safe. If the owner scoffed at you, then you know he/she will allow it again and again.
Hugs,
Shay and Sabrina

I second (or fourth by now) what everyone else says: report these people. You don't want anything else happening and you don't want to be scared every time you leave your apartment!
When Pearl was 6 months old she was attacked by a neighbor's dog in an apartment complex. She had just had been neutered and still had stitches. It was just a little dog but it kept coming and coming even after I picked Pearl up. We were both so scared but Pearl was okay. The owner of that dog was a complete butthole (kind of like the ones you describe). Besides that incident with Pearl, the dog lived a pretty sad life. The owner would leave her out for hours and hours on end. She would bark until she was hoarse. I spoke to management and eventually ended up calling animal control. Some people should just not have animals. :o(
But fines are created for those people who do have them and aren't responsible. Animal control can tell you how to proceed and what the laws in your area are.
We're glad Daisy is okay but that was super scary.
Hugs from,
Sue, Pearl & Daisy
You really need to report them Dana. What happens if the next dog isn't as lucky as Daisy was? If they are going to own a dog they need to be responsible. So glad that you and Daisy are ok!! Give her hugs and kisses from Lilo and I!!!
~hugs~

Ugh! I am SO frustrated by irresponsible pet owners!
Boxers are excellent dogs and I have no doubt that proper training could help that dog's aggression. I am wishing new owners on that dog and burnt poop on the doorstep of those ridiculous neighbors!
That little photo of Daisy's bitten hiney makes me sad! Poor little muffin!

Poor Daisy! That butt looks sore. I once had a sprained paw after getting into a scuffle with Sluggo and Brigitte over food. That is why we are separated now. Dog bites are painful, even if the skin isn't broken.
Brigitte got bit in the face by my moms aunt's king charles spaniel. She doesn't like small dogs for some reason, and she was being separated from us, but in a split second she came around behind Mom and got her.
Other than that we have not had a full on attack, but we do have a neighbor dog who has bitten other dogs. The neighbors keep her under control, but if anyone were to escape their humans control, it would not be pretty.
That is so scary!! We agree with everyone else - they need to be reported.
We are glad that no one was seriously hurt!!

Once our Mom got attacked by a dog at the dog park and we could only look on. Because he was 1,000 million pounds heavier than all of us combined. But Mom says you should report it. I can't believe someone attacked Daisy and then didn't apologize. Aggressive dogs are soooo not cool. Aggressive dogs with unapologetic owners are the worst. Worst than the worst. I hope Daisy is okay and she got a special treat.
Muah,
Minnie Moo and Lincoln
Daisy I am going to come over there and kick that pup's owner's butt! Ugh. This is exactly where pups get a bad rap. I feel that Daisy should get special treatment after this attack..maybe fan her with palm branches while feeding her cheesy poufs? Even better, have a super sexy man pug fan her. Yeah yeah...
On a serious note, we have never been attacked thank you Lord, but Kitty was at one time a bit snippy to overly curious dogs (ones that jumped all over her). As a responsible owner, Mom saw to it to get Kitty more socialized and has had no trouble at all since. People even comment how well behaved she it.
oh daisy and dana!
that is so scary!
i am so glad you are both ok!
you may just want to put a call in a report that.
it should be on file as that doggy sound like it may have some problems with parents who are not addressing them.
if anything, it may help save the doggy from hurting another doggy or person in the future and then it being to late for him too.
xoxoxo
Dasiy we hope your butt heals and you get that chicken too.
Both our grils got attacked by a friends dog right before we moved from Va to Wa. Sequoia was bit in her face and nose and Tuni was bit in her face and thrown about. Sequoia now has some own issues and if she feels cornered in any way by another dog she gets aggressive back. Tuni is just so old she still doesn't notice anything happened. Just watch out to see if this changes Dasiy in anyway around other dogs. And those neighbors need to some education. Did you let your landlord manager know what happened? I would to protect you or others the next time this dog gets aggressive.
Hugs to sweet Daisy!!
Okay, I'm jumping on the "report it to management" bandwagon.
This incident needs to be documented in case it happens again (to Daisy or any other dog - or human!).
So sorry for Daisy's little hiney. :(
Poor Daisy. She must have been so frightened, and you too.
We hope Daisy heals okay.
Its sad that had to happen, and it is irresponsible pet owners fault.
We send kissys to Daisy and you

OMP terribles just terribles. Not only bitting Daisy but what if you gots bit!
Mum says "reports it".
I got attacked by a big german shepard cross when I was 7 months old. It came up and attacked me from behind. Grabbed me by my neck and shook me around. I was yelping Mum was yelling and finally the owner came running down the trail to get his dog off me. I was so scared. Thank pugness I had no serious injuries.
To this day I am very aggresive toward any large rotweiller or german sheppard type dogs. I kinda go like Sequoia and go into attacks mode.
Hopes you get lots of chickens for that ordeal you had to endures!

OMG, that really pisses me off that the neighbor had no more concern for what their dog did than that!! BS!!!
Poor girl Daisy!! I'm so sorry this happened to you! I'm glad your Mommy saved you and I see lots of trees and butt massages in your future to make up for what you've been through!
Those neighbors should be ashamed and I hope that karma comes right back at them and bites THEM in the a**!!!
Hugs and kisses from my sexy boys :)

SO not sexy!
Yep...report them...not only to the management, but to the COPS...and try to find those two cops there in Vegas that were in The Hangover and see if you can "work out a deal" to have them come use their tasers on that mean dog's OWNERS (IN THE FAAAAAAACE!)
That ought to fix their little red wagon!
Daisy...chicken is totally good for a chomped up booty! Tell mom to get on that toute de suite!
Love,
S-Dog
