Bay Area Trip And A Sexy Rescue Pug

Hi Everyone!

I hope you had a great Memorial Day weekend!
I decided to come back to Vegas a little early.
I had plenty of time while I was in the Bay Area
to check out a few places I had been wanting to
experience. The weather was really nice while
I was in town, so I tried to fit in as
much as I could.

I went to that new restaurant I was blogging about,
American Cupcake in San Francisco. It was pretty great.
Definitely a place you can only find in a big city
with people that like to try new things.

I went to the restaurant in the evening, which made
this place even better, because check out the
ceiling lights!

The place had a 60's diner
feeling. I ordered a plate of tater tots,
and a chocolate coconut cupcake.
I wanted to order a glass of
wine to go with my tots and
cupcake, but I think that
may have killed my
cupcake buzz.

The next day I went to Half Moon Bay.
Most people come here to check out the monster
waves at the beaches, but I went there for the dog store,
Kibbles n' Gifts. This is probably my all time favorite
dog store to find really unique dog toys, collars,
leashes and stationary. I used to bring Penny
here all the time when we were in
the Bay Area.

I couldn't resist while I was there
to buy this card:

And this for my rescue pug:

After I went to the gift store, I stopped by Skylawn Memorial
cemetery. I always come by when I am here to visit my grandma
and to make sure her flowers are still there. For a while,
someone was stealing the flowers my family and I would
put there.

The Cemetery had placed a flag at every grave for
the veterans. I wish I could have snapped a better photo,
because it was really cool to see so many flags blowing
in the wind.

When I arrived back in Vegas, a volunteer from Southern
Nevada Pug Rescue came by to do a home check. Shortly after,
I was approved for adoption. Hooray! If everything goes
accordingly, I will be picking up a very special sexy
beefy pug tomorrow! Her name is Daisy. She is
around 3-4 years old, and she has had a
rough life, being bounced around
from home to home.

I am so excited to meet her, and I can't wait to
give her the life she should have had from the
beginning. I will post more as soon as she
gets here!

Hi Dana! I'm so excited that you're getting another sexy pug. Daisy sounds simply divine and I know that Penny would totally approve. Do you know if Daisy likes whippy creme?

She should also join the sunflower club even though she's a daisy!

So very happy for you and Daisy. Another match made in Heaven, with a little help from Penny. Did they ever get you new grass? She will need to break it in properly!
